Welcome to our gardens...

The "common area" we are most proud of is the extensive gardens surrounding our Pennsylvania country inn. Perfect to relax in at the end of the day or for a morning stroll, they are chock full of every imaginable blooming plant.

We often joke that if it grows in the northeast, Werner (Innkeeper/Owner) has one planted! From the first bloom of the snowdrops to the last flowering mum, something blooms just about all year round at our bed and breakfast in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

The orchard boasts about 90 trees, and the garden produces everything from asparagus and rhubarb to potatoes and garlic. The woodland provides abundant wood, beautifully stacked all around the Inn.

Benches are tucked in out-of-the-way places for the couple who loves a romantic interlude, and there are hammocks strung between trees, the perfect spot for an afternoon nap.

For the hiking enthusiast, there are trails through the woods. Joggers will find the 4 miles of road around the lake a wonderful run.

This summer we have an abundance of butterflies and goldfinches. The regular rainfall has kept our grass lush and green making it especially pleasant to visit. Roadside stands are loaded with fresh corn, melons, huge tomatoes, eggplant and every other veggie imaginable. Pack a cooler for your visit so you take some of this bounty along home.
