Swiss Woods Gardening Days - Wednesday night, May 19 and Thursday night, May 20th

Join us for a day of touring Lancaster's multitude of greenhouses as well as a stop at the local produce auction. Werner will accompany you to several interesting and diverse greenhouses specializing in everything from water gardens to hanging geraniums. You will start the day with a visit to the Leola Produce Auction where buyers come from all over the east coast to purchase skids of locally grown plants and produce.

After check-in, start your stay on the patio with appetizers accompanied by a local wine. You are on your own for dinner at one of the wonderful restaurants we have locally. We have many suggestions for dining on our area activities page, both in the city of Lancaster and the surrounding area. Thursday morning, enjoy our garden-themed breakfast before you head out to the produce auction and the wide variety of greenhouses. Afternoon appetizers are served on the patio before you head out for another wonderful dinner.

Friday morning after breakfast, Werner will walk you through arranging your own planter with flowers you purchased the day before. Bring your planter with you or find one as you travel on Thursday. We will supply the potting soil and will also have some annuals here from which you may choose. Werner will help you design the planter to match your needs and tastes. This is a great time to purchase the annuals and perennials you need for your home garden at some really amazing prices. The greenhouse map we provide for you will be a great resource on any return trips. This is a map, found nowhere else, with the greenhouses of northern Lancaster County clearly marked and addresses included if you are traveling with GPS.

To reserve a space, just make an online reservation for those 2 nights and note that you are coming for the spring planter weekend. 

Cheese & Cracker Tray - $35

Our cheese trays are incredibly popular. Enjoy an evening snack of cheese and crackers, ready on your arrival. BYOB and enjoy wine and cheese on the patio or beside the water garden. The three-cheese assortment will include a vintage, aged Canadian cheddar, crackers, and scrumptious spiced olives. This is perfect if you are arriving late and do not want to go out to dinner. 

Roses and Chocolate - $75
A vase of a dozen beautiful roses waiting in your room, with a pound box of Belgian Chocolates beautifully wrapped in gold.  (Please specify color of roses preferred in the special requests section. If there is no color mentioned, we will order red).

In-Room Massage Experience the "ultimate escape" with an in-room body massage by an experienced massage therapist. The perfect way to relax and rejuvenate.  We will schedule the time that suits you with our certified massage therapist. One-hour massage: $95.00 Two, 30-minute massages: $110.00 One, 90-minute massage: $145.00
