Summer is almost here and we’re thrilled to start enjoying hot sunny days and warm breezy evenings at our Pennsylvania bed and breakfast. There are a plethora of fun events coming to our neck of the woods this season, and we hope you’ll join us in enjoying them. Here’s a preview of what you have to look forward to during your Lancaster County summer getaway.
1. Meander Around Root’s Market
Visiting Root’s Country Market and Auction is a local tradition you should enjoy while you’re in town. Open every Tuesday, this family-run market features goods and gifts from over 200 vendors. You’ll find fresh food, flowers, collectibles, handmade crafts, and more.
2. Visit the Wolf Sanctuary
For a unique outing you couldn’t experience anywhere else, visit the Wolf Sanctuary of PA, located just five minutes from the Inn. This nonprofit organization provides homes for 49 Speedwell wolves who are without a safe place to live. The sanctuary consists of over 80 acres of land and has become an educational facility where community members and guests can get an intimate look at the important work being done on behalf of these wonderful animals. Tours are available Tuesday and Thursday with a reservation, and Saturday and Sunday without a reservation.
3. Dance the Night Away
Bill Medley and Bucky Heard are combining their talents and hit songs to bring The Righteous Brothers back to the stage! The voices that brought you “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin,” the most played song in radio history, is coming to the American Music Theatre on June 8, 2018. Purchase your tickets today!
4. Attend the Celtic Fling & Highland Games
Enjoy an up-close look at the beautiful music and stories of the Celtic people with this upcoming Celtic Fling & Highland Games. Activities will be happening June 22-24 and will include traditional bagpipe bands, authentic Celtic cuisine, wine, ciders, and more.
5. Partake in Fourth of July Festivities
Celebrate our nation’s independence at Lititz Springs Park! It’s the 201st year we’re celebrating here together! This community palooza features festivities like live music, great food, a parade, the annual Queen of Candles Pageant, fireworks, and more!

Charming Pennsylvania covered bridges are fun to explore on foot, but it’s a blast to tour them by scooter! Sign up for a tour with Strasburg Scooters! Tours are two and a half to three hours long and take place at 10am & 2pm Monday-Friday, and 4pm Saturday-Sunday. (Check out the different types of scooters offered – they’re so much fun!)
